Laura Dark Photography is located at 607 Main Street in Groveport, Ohio, approximately 15 minutes southeast of downtown Columbus. Most sessions take place in our private studio, although selected sessions may also be photographed on location.

Choose the package that best fits what you want to create, then complete the booking form. Once we receive it, our team will contact you within 24 hours to finalize the session, answer questions, and complete the booking process.

Laura Dark Photography generally works with clients age 13 and older. Clients under 18 need permission from a parent or legal guardian, and some session types have additional restrictions. Boudoir sessions are available only to clients age 18 and older.

Absolutely. We photograph clients of all body types and sizes. Our wardrobe includes an extensive range, and posing, lighting, styling, and wardrobe choices are tailored to the individual.

Absolutely. We welcome LGBTQ+ clients, including transgender and nonbinary clients. We respect your name, pronouns, gender expression, relationships, and how you want to be photographed.

Session deposits are non-refundable because they reserve your date and are used toward preparation costs, including studio time, hair and makeup when applicable, and other advance booking expenses.

Yes. Your deposit is applied toward the total price of your photography package. It is not an additional fee on top of the package price.

Not at all. We guide you throughout the session, including expression, hand placement, body positioning, and movement. You never have to wonder what you are supposed to be doing.

Bring any shoes, stockings, undergarments, accessories, jewelry, or personal wardrobe pieces you would like to use. If your package includes studio wardrobe, we will help you select pieces during your appointment. For boudoir sessions, clients bring their own lingerie; the studio provides corsets, robes, and accessories.

You may reschedule once without a fee by requesting the change in writing at least two weeks before the appointment. The new session must take place within six months. Changes requested with less than two weeks’ notice require an additional session fee. Arriving late reduces your photography time; arrivals more than 30 minutes late may forfeit the session.

Please come without additional guests unless the guest is participating in the photographs or has been approved in advance. Exceptions can be arranged for accessibility, medical, or other special circumstances.

No. If hair and makeup are included in your package, that time is already built into the appointment. Please arrive at your scheduled start time.

Timing depends on your package and the complexity of the looks. Sessions with professional hair and makeup often require several hours from arrival through completion. Sessions without styling are generally shorter.

Standard packages include professionally edited digital images delivered through an online SmugMug gallery. Prints, books, canvas, and other products are available separately.

Yes. Gift certificates are available in any amount, delivered digitally, and valid for one year from the purchase date. Promotional discounts used to purchase a certificate cannot be combined with additional discounts when it is redeemed.

Wolf and falconry sessions begin at the Groveport studio. Depending on the weather, animal requirements, and conditions that day, photography may take place outdoors nearby or inside the studio.

Bring the wardrobe, shoes, undergarments, and accessories required for your look unless wardrobe is included. Do not bring clothing, props, treats, or accessories made from animal products unless approved in advance.

Participants must be at least 13 for wolf sessions through The Ohio Canid Center. Fox sessions through OCC are 18+, falconry through The Ohio School of Falconry is 18+, and snake sessions are 18+. These requirements cannot be waived.

No. Only scheduled participants may interact with or be present around the animals during the session. Limiting people helps handlers maintain a safe, controlled environment.

All sessions are supervised by experienced professional handlers. Clients receive instructions and must follow the handler’s directions throughout the session. Animal welfare and safety always come first.

We may photograph inside, modify the setup, or make another arrangement if the animals or handlers determine that outdoor photography is not appropriate.

Interaction is determined by the professional handler on the day. Never approach, touch, feed, or direct an animal without the handler’s permission.

No. We can plan the visual concept, but live animals determine what is possible that day. The individual animal’s behavior, comfort, and the handler’s direction control the interaction.
