Confident, Private, Completely You

An experience shaped around your comfort.

Laura Dark Photography creates body-positive boudoir portraits in a private Groveport studio, just southeast of Columbus, Ohio. Adults 18 and older of every size, shape, gender identity, and level of camera experience are welcome. Your session can be romantic, playful, dark, glamorous, or something entirely your own.

You choose your wardrobe, coverage, and boundaries. Laura guides your posing, expression, hands, and angles throughout the session and adapts the plan to your comfort and mobility. Bring your own lingerie and personal outfits; selected studio corsets, robes, and accessories can complement your look. Classic and higher packages include one professional hair and makeup service per person.

Your Experience

Feel supported from planning to finished portrait.

Your Boundaries

Tell us what you want to show, what you prefer to keep covered, and any posing limits. You can ask for a break, change a pose, or adjust your coverage throughout the session. Discuss image-sharing preferences during planning; the session itself is not permission to share your photographs.

Your Styling

Wear pieces that fit comfortably today. Lingerie, a favorite sweater, a slip, or an oversized shirt can all work. The studio wardrobe spans sizes 00–6X, with selected corsets, robes, and accessories for boudoir; individual availability and fit are confirmed in advance.

Your Beauty Plan

Classic and higher packages include one professional hair and makeup service per person. Basic does not include styling. Additional hair or makeup designs are separate services; your booking confirms the number of looks, sets, and styling services included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to know how to pose?

No. Laura guides expression, hands, posture, and movement. Tell us about any mobility needs or uncomfortable positions so the session can be adapted.

Do I need a certain body type for boudoir?

No. Adults of every size, shape, gender identity, and level of camera experience are welcome. Wardrobe, posing, and lighting are planned for the individual.

Does the studio provide lingerie?

Bring your own lingerie, shoes, stockings, and personal outfits. The studio offers selected corsets, robes, and accessories, but does not provide a complete lingerie wardrobe.

Is hair and makeup included?

Classic and higher packages include one professional hair and makeup service per person. Basic does not include styling. A different hairstyle or makeup design is an additional service. Check the details of your booked package.

Do I have to wear revealing lingerie?

No. You decide how much coverage feels right. A slip, robe, camisole set, sweater, or oversized shirt can create a beautiful portrait. You can change your mind about a pose or coverage during the session.

Will my boudoir photographs be shared publicly?

Discuss your privacy and image-sharing preferences with the studio during planning. Any public use should follow the permissions you have agreed to; booking a session alone is not permission to post your images.

How do I prepare for my session?

Read the Boudoir Preparation Guide and complete your pre-shoot intake. Try on full outfits, pack coordinating shoes and accessories, and share your styling, comfort, allergy, and editing preferences before the appointment.
