Laura Dark Photography offers select portrait experiences with wolves, foxes, birds of prey, snakes, and other featured animals. Sessions are created with experienced professional handlers, including The Ohio Canid Center for canid experiences and The Ohio School of Falconry for falconry sessions. Species and dates vary according to handler schedules, location requirements, and animal welfare.
Clients can choose a simple portrait or develop a fantasy, warrior, gothic, historical, or story-driven concept. Animal welfare and handler direction always come first, so a particular pose, physical interaction, or amount of contact cannot be guaranteed. Animal Basic does not include styling, while Classic Animal and higher options include one professional hair and makeup service per person. Location and arrival details are confirmed after booking.
Wardrobe availability depends on the chosen concept and size. Clients should bring any specific clothing, shoes, jewelry, or character pieces they want photographed. During planning, the team will explain what the studio can provide, confirm the appropriate age requirement, and help select a package based on styling, participants, and finished images.

What are the age requirements?
Participants must be at least 13 for wolf sessions. Fox sessions through The Ohio Canid Center, falconry through The Ohio School of Falconry, and snake sessions are limited to participants age 18 or older.
Will I be able to touch or pose beside the animal?
The professional handler determines what interaction is safe. A particular pose or contact cannot be promised, and the animal’s comfort always determines participation.
